Conditions Disqualifying You From Donating Blood

Some people disqualified from donating blood because they have diseases that are transmissible via blood. Other potential donors excluded because of other conditions.

Blood donation is considered to be the noblest and life-saving actions in the world. Even if 1% of the country population donates blood, so it can fulfill the basic blood requirements of the country.

 Is donating blood all concerning injections and bottles? When someone thinks to donate blood, he assessed his ongoing physical health and medical history. There are several conditions wherein a donor deferred from giving for a certain period, so it is essential to understand where you drop. A person may give blood even if he has some specific health issues, but there are some conditions around them wherein you may be allowed or may not allow donating the blood at all.

Here are five critical conditions:

1. Leukemia:- If a person is found having a history of malignant melanoma, he may defer from donating permanently and the people who are currently suffering from clonal hematological disorders, leukemia or Myelodysplastic syndromes.

2. Psychotic disorder:- The psychotic disorder has a lot to do with the behavioral patterns of a human being. At various times, people lose touch with reality and start hallucinating. Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia are some of the examples. Anybody who is undergoing any psychotic disorder permanently defers from giving blood.

3. Diagnosed with leishmaniasis, malaria, syphilis:- If a person ever been diagnosed with leishmaniasis, syphilis, or any such disease in the past, there may be possibilities that you will be deferred from donating blood for a lifetime.

4. If you have a tattoo or do any treatment with needles:- In case you recently had a symbol, a cosmetic, or semi-permanent makeup, then you should stay away from giving blood. Below any condition wherein you've had to have a needle pierced, you may not be able to provide or donate blood for the next year. It is advisable to a person to consult your doctor and understand whether you are in a position to give the blood or not.

5. Relationship with any drug user-patient or HIV/AIDS patient:-This is a dangerous situation, and you may be assessed strictly if you claim that you are in a relationship with either any HIV/AIDS patient and a drug user person. It is recommended to consult a doctor. If you are a drug user or suffering from HIV/AIDS, you need to stay away permanently from donating blood.

Make sure do a detailed check on the do's and don'ts of the donation process if you are planning to donate blood. If you have had any medical condition in the past or are suffering from a disease at present, it is suggested to mention it to the doctor.
