The study shows that malaria parasitoids in an infected mice's blood programmed their growth at the time when the mice were fed. With changing the timing of mice's meal, malaria parasites also changed their schedule of attacking red blood cells accordingly.

The investigation was done by connecting changes of mice's blood sugar levels to rhythms of malaria parasites. Study says that hindering with biological path-ways of parasite rhythms by diet or manipulating them through medications can help in decreasing the malaria severity and also prevent the infection from growing further.

The research examined the timing of parasite rhythms in terms of their multiplication and invasion of red blood cells. The feeding time of mice changed by giving them eat during the day rather than night. So, there is a change to the multiplication of parasites from day to night, syncing with the mice meal time.

Scientists are still working on testing the levels of impact on parasites and what are the other biological mechanisms that can control their rhythms of mice and that will help in understanding it in better ways to tackle malaria disease.
