You get a copy of the prescription and you can convert it into a drug order to the Pharmacy. You can take a print of the prescription and go to your pharmacy and purchase. By doing so the compliance history will not be generated and reduce the drug management effectiveness.

All prescribing is at the discretion of the physician according to his assessment and the ability to evaluate the condition and clinical standards of care. If he is your care team member and knows your case history he can prescribe the medication for refills for the conditions that he knows and details of which are documented in your care records.
